VOLUNTEERS MUST BE CLEARED 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO ANY VOLUNTEERING ACTIVITY
Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteering is one of the many ways you can give to the Torrey Pines Elementary School community. Each classroom teacher has specific needs and guidelines to follow for volunteering. In addition to classroom volunteers our Enrichment Rotations need volunteers, as does the office, library, and various parent Foundation Events. If interested in Foundation volunteering, and for details, visit our
Foundation Volunteer Opportunities page or email
Parent Volunteer Coordinator.
Volunteer Procedure EACH School Year:
Parents, family members, and community volunteers MUST complete a Volunteer Application and a Volunteer Code of Conduct (read carefully and sign). Please contact the school office to pick up the volunteer packet or if you have any questions about becoming a volunteer.
TB Risk Assessment, this needs to be completed by a licensed physician. Please have your doctor or the school nurse clear your TB compliance, the school nurse is here on Monday's. Depending on the results of the assessment, you may need to have a TB Test performed by your doctor; TB test results are valid for 4 years.
**The office staff clears volunteers by running a Megan's Law database check once your volunteer application has been received in full. You will receive an email once your application has been processed.
FIELD TRIP
Please talk with classroom teacher about becoming a chaperone. Field Trip Chaperones have additional paperwork and steps to complete. Those items needed must be provided 2 weeks prior to EACH field trip.
**FIELD TRIPS ARE FOR THE CLASSROOM STUDENTS ONLY. NO SIBLINGS ARE PERMITTED.**
