20/21 New Student Enrollment

Welcome to Torrey Pines Elementary School! We look forward to meeting you and getting to know you and your children!

Since the school closure and fall reopening remains fluid and uncertain at this time, and in light of the continued caution regarding the coronavirus pandemic, enrollment for 20/21 is an online submission only at this point.

PLEASE - ensure you live within the boundaries of TPES by checking the District School Finder.

HOW TO ENROLL....

Please send an email to our enrollment staff: ([email protected]):

The subject should be: 20/21, your student's LAST NAME, FIRST NAME, incoming grade. The district firewall blocks emails over 10mb in size. If you need to, please send multiple emails - but note in the subject line 'email x of x' so we know to look for additional emails regarding your student's enrollment. *If you have multiple children enrolling we must receive emails for each student - NOT combined student emails*

ATTACH the following documents. These must each be scanned and/or downloaded onto your computer, filled in, signed where needed, AND saved to your computer. YES - this is a lot. If that process is not followed we receive blank documents!

1) District Enrollment Form (Click view/edit document. Here are district instructions on how to complete the form if you need them)

2) a current SDG&E or utility bill (or connection verification from SDG&E website) PLUS
3) an original current signed lease, rental agreement (signed and including landlord contact information), or mortgage statement (property tax, or deed ok if no mortgage).

**the WHOLE lease with addendums is not needed. Scan and attach the first 2 page of the lease (these should include the terms) and the signature page of the actual lease (includes landlord contact info, landlord signature, AND your 'tenant' signature(s))

5) Student's original birth certificate or passport
6) Student's Immunization records  - See immunization requirements
7) Your picture ID (passport, visa, or driver's license)
8) CAIR Form (online immunization registry permission)
9 )New Student Questionnaire To help us get to know your child!
10) SDUSD Health Information Exchange Consent Form
11) Home Language Assessment Survey
12) Universal Permission Form See the district website Facts for Parents for the information referenced on the Universal Form. (the district typically updates the Facts for Parents during the summer)
13)Educational Needs Questionnaire (if your student has or is in the process for an IEP or 504 please let us know and provide a copy)

In addition to the above documents, if your student is new to Torrey Pines in 1st - 5th please complete Request for Elementary School Records (US Schools only).
